National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) Tests Online.
Years 3 & Year 5 Students
John Butler Primary College, like most schools, will transition from traditional NAPLAN paper tests to online tests for 2019. Federal, state and territory education ministers have agreed to full participation over the next two to three years.
John Butler Primary College is one of a number of schools that will be involved in a School Readiness Test which will take place next week to help inform the technical readiness of schools for the move online in 2019. As it is to only inform the college’s technical readiness, the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) will not be formulating any test results and/or student achievement against national standards.
Disability adjustments will be provided as per the NAPLAN tests conducted in Term 2. If students were exempt from the previous test, the same exemption will apply.
Students in Year 3 & 5 have been informed that they are helping the College ‘test our system’ and please remind your child not to worry about this test as they are not being assessed.
